Supply Chain Engineer – Marine & Ports



At ABB, we help industries outrun—leaner and cleaner. We’re looking for a Supply Chain Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in strengthening supplier relationships, driving operational excellence, and supporting projects across our Marine and Ports business.



In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, quality, and project teams to ensure supplier performance, quality standards, and delivery expectations are met. You’ll also identify and develop new supplier partnerships while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.



What You'll Do:
Lead supplier quality activities and validate supplier processes and quality systems
Monitor and manage supplier performance including quality, delivery, and lead time metrics
Drive corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related issues and non-conformance events
Partner with sourcing teams to identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers
Support bid and proposal teams by assisting with sourcing activities and market insights
Analyze supplier bids and recommend optimal sourcing solutions
Lead supply chain improvement projects focused on efficiency and process optimization
Support supplier assessments and ensure compliance with ABB standards and requirements
Collaborate with buyers and cross-functional teams on supplier performance and claim resolution
Support local operations and service teams in supplier performance mitigation activities



Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, supplier quality, sourcing, or engineering environments
Experience in the Marine industry, Ports industry, Electrical Engineering, or related industries Proven supplier relationship management and supplier development experience
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across teams
Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and problem-solving mindset
Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States



Preferred Qualifications:

Lean Six Sigma certification
SAP experience
Experience supporting complex technical or industrial environments
