Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Guidewire Policy Center Developer to lead the design, configuration, customization, and support of Policy Center solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise in Policy Center implementation, with a strong focus on delivering end-to-end enhancements in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Center Configuration & Customization
Design and configure Policy Center for new and existing insurance products
Perform hands-on configuration of Product Model, UI (PCF), and Data Model
Manage coverages, exclusions, conditions, modifiers, and terms aligned with business requirements
Product Model & Line of Business Support
Create and manage products, coverages, and terms within Policy Center
Support Personal Property Line of Business, including policy lifecycle events (endorsements, renewals, cancellations, rewrites)
Underwriting Rules & Business Logic
Develop and maintain underwriting rules, eligibility logic, and risk evaluation using Gosu
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
UI, Data Model & Integrations
Develop UI components using PCF and Gosu
Perform data model enhancements including entity extensions and schema updates
Ensure data integrity and integration readiness
Quality & Validation
Implement validations and error-handling mechanisms
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across environments
Support testing, defect resolution, and regression validation
Forms & Rating
Configure and maintain Policy Center forms and documentation
Manage rating configuration including rate tables, rules, and calculations
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA teams, and Architects
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and solution planning
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of Guidewire development experience with strong focus on Policy Center
Hands-on expertise in:
Guidewire Policy Center
Gosu and PCF
Guidewire Studio
Product Model configuration
Proven experience in UI development, data model extensions, underwriting rules, validations, forms, and rating
Strong understanding of insurance policy lifecycle processes
Ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
