Opportunity Overview

RBC’s HR & CLAO IT Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions for our HR and CLAO business partners. Our project practitioners follow best-in‑class Project Management practices in strategic planning, risk management, vendor relations, stakeholder relationships at all levels and rigor in project health reporting. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration. Responsibilities

Lead a team of junior project managers, Scrum Masters and Project Control Officers to elevate their delivery practices, soliciting feedback from project sponsors/teams to bring into coaching conversations, career development, upskilling etc. Drive HR, BMCC & CLAO projects as a Senior Project Manager to plan and execute initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle. Partner with the Director of the PMO to build a community of practice for the HR, BMCC & CLAO BSA teams that drives consistency in the requirements management practice, fosters collaboration and sharing of best practices to elevate delivery practice. Develop and execute an adoption strategy that supports BSAs in the introduction of standard tools and frameworks that drive ‘best in class’ requirements management practice; engage with enterprise PMOs, Co Es and SMEs to establish the best practice in requirements management, gain alignment with leadership on approach and design/execute a change strategy that supports BAs through adoption and upskill. Recommend recent ways of working that simplify and/or automate best practices as part of the delivery lifecycle, both from a project management and requirements management perspective. Work with the broader Technology & Operations Initiative Delivery community to ensure project risk and governance is followed end to end in the delivery of projects as defined by the Enterprise Project Management Framework leveraging standard project management tools, processes and best practices. Drive rigor and simplicity in project health routines, ensuring project status reports are up to date and accurate including financials, issues, risks and key decisions. Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5–7 years as a Senior Project Manager, planning and executing on high complexity technology projects following the Enterprise Project Management Framework for Agile and Waterfall initiatives. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a people manager, leading, mentoring/coaching people, specifically Project Managers / Delivery Leads (or similar roles). Experience as a senior Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst. Experience designing and executing on change strategies that drive adoption of new processes/tools, minimizing people impact and disruption to business outcomes. Excellent communication and data visualization skills to effectively develop and deliver an impactful story that resonates and engages key stakeholders at all levels and vendors. Excellent executive presence, with the ability to effectively communicate project / portfolio health and financial performance to senior leaders, surfacing risks/issues that require leadership attention / support to mitigate. Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as end to end delivery as part of the SDLC. Strong attention to detail and business acumen / organizational awareness. Advanced skills in standard project management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Tableau / Power BI, MS Project, Excel and Power Point. Project Management/Scrum Master certificate/training. Preferred Qualifications

Business Systems Analyst certificate/training and/or experience as a Business Systems Analyst. Certificate in Organizational Change Management (PROSCI or equivalent). Experience in HR, CLAO, BMCC, Procurement and CRE. Workforce Strategy or Organizational Behavior experience. What’s in it for you?
