GHD has an excellent opportunity for Senior Commercial Advisor. The focus for this role is to develop robust cases based on well-articulated investment drivers, robust economic evaluation and options assessments. The objective is to support client investment decisions across all phases of the business lifecycle to improve utilization, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, services and infrastructure. The Senior Commercial Advisor will work closely with the Commercial Leader-North America, GHD Market Leaders, and broader GHD business to optimally deliver consulting engagements across private and public sector Water, Transportation and Waste markets in North America. This position can be based in any of our North America GHD office locations with a preference in Houston or Toronto.In the problem-solving business, it helps to be restlessly curious to deliver community change. Our vision is to ensure energy, water and urbanisation are made sustainable for generations to come. Supporting the Advisory strategic growth plan to explain and increase market penetration through development of proposals and proactive propositions that deliver value to clients Produce proposals in area of specialty and securing a pipeline of work under, under the direction of the Capability Leader. Promote relationships with existing and potential clients. Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business through outstanding client service Act as spokesperson and champion Advisory Services internally across the GHD Core Business and externally with clients What you will bring to the team: 8+ years’ experience in consulting Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in business management, economics, engineering/architectural related subject area, or project management Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of investment (business) case development and applications, strategic needs/options analyses and benefits/value for money definition and evaluation Applied knowledge and understanding of economic evaluation guidelines, cost benefit analyses and economic impact analysis Experience in the evaluation and prioritization of infrastructure programs and projects Strong facilitation, influencing and communication skills with the ability to shape people's thinking and the confidence to lead and hold your ground where necessary Confidence in presenting to mid-to-high level executive audiences and facilitating complex working sessions with both internal and client teams Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts
