Overview Join to apply for the Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Insights role at BDO Canada. Your Opportunity Our Sault Ste. Marie office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Insights & Reporting Group and own the following responsibilities: Prepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises Build effective working relationships with client contacts and respond effectively to client requests Prepare trust returns and trust working papers Prepare tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST and charity returns)Ensure that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, and keep them informed of the progress of the engagement Responsibilities Follow up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etc. Experience and Education CPA designation (or equivalent) or working towards your CPADegree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant field2+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or relevant work experience Experience with compilations and preparing tax returns Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills Why BDO?Our people-first approach to talent has earned us recognition among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2025.
