Position Details: Casual as Required Position - No Guaranteed Hours
This position is at the L09 level with an hourly pay range of $49.73 - $66.42.

As a multidisciplinary team member, the incumbent provides nursing care for patients through the administration and implementation of medical investigation and therapeutic programs, applying knowledge of general nursing, physical health, and psycho-social well-being. The role includes organizing, directing, supervising, and collaborating in the planning and implementation of nursing best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of established practices and procedures of professional nursing care
Knowledge of trends and developments in the nursing field
Effective interpersonal skills
Initiative, good judgment, and reliability
Advocacy and assertiveness skills
Basic computer literacy
Ability to teach nursing practices and relevant clinical skills
Ability to develop and implement nursing care, treatment, and discharge plans

The successful candidate must have a Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, a minimum of one year of nursing experience related to the specialty area(s) or have completed relevant online courses. They must be currently registered or able to be licensed with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA) and hold current CPR certification. Certification in A. C. L. S. and Critical Care nursing is considered an asset.
