The Estimator is responsible to provide costs to the sales group for primarily for envelope opportunities, with a secondary focus on packaging and label opportunities. This position partners with sales and operations to ensure timely, accurate production estimates based on customers’ specifications. Relying on creativity and moving with a sense of urgency, the Estimator is a key member of the sales support organization who will provide solutions to help sales win news business.
Calculates costs of all materials required in producing product
Suggests alternatives that may help sales win work.
Implements all price increases of raw materials (e.g. paper, window film, cartons, skids, freight charges, etc.) Use mathematical equations to determine the quantity of material needed.
1+ year estimating experience in printing, packaging, or paper converting manufacturing environment a requirement
~ Intermediate computer skills required in MSOffice, AX Dynamics experience an asset
