Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our Accounting Team. This position will report to the VP Finance and responsible for performing full cycle development/construction accounting for various development and construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Full cycle accounting pertaining to specified projects Review development manager-prepared proformas and budgets for accuracy Review job cost reports for accuracy; perform variance analysis on month-over-month changes in estimated project costs Prepare journal entries for accruals, allocation of common costs, sales and costs of sales Provide quantity surveyors with the required information to complete budget reviews for construction loan facilities Prepare monthly progress draws for submission to quantity surveyors Reconcile bank and loan accounts Assist with month end and year end procedures Assist the team with any special projects Assist with process and procedure improvements Various ad-hoc projects assigned by VP Finance Qualifications: University degree or college diploma, CPA designation is an asset2-4 years experience in real estate/construction industry in a project accounting role Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE is an asset Has a good fundamental knowledge of accounting practices A team player with passion and desire to learn and grow Self-motivated, positive attitude and detailed-oriented Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required Strong communication skills both written and verbal Compensation & Location: Salary range is $70,000 – $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications Employees are provided with a comprehensive medical and dental benefits plan Work will be on site at #1550-200 Burrard St (downtown Vancouver).
