Production Manager

The Production Manager leads our production team in optimizing workflows, driving productivity, and ensuring top-quality output in an assembly environment. With exceptional communication, organizational skills, and strategic thinking, you will lead a team of Production Associates, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and make key decisions to propel our operations to new heights. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact, providing clean drinking water for the world, while being part of a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.
- Ensure that all associates have received sufficient training to comply with procedures.
- Ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion, within budget.
- Lead implementation of continuous improvement activities and 5S.
- Oversee maintenance of production tools and equipment.
- Coordinate and record training of work and safety procedures to new employees.
- Confer with management and subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, and grievances.
- Enforce safety, quality, and human resources procedures and policies.
- Provide motivation for employees, increasing morale, worker efficiency and production rates.
- Monitor and assess employee performance.
- Work with other managers to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.

Experience and Qualifications

- Secondary school diploma required, and post-secondary education preferred.
- 5 years of production management experience preferred.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and basic diary/minutes management.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
- First Aid skills and/or certificates required.
