Our client is looking for a highly strategic Plant Manager to lead operations at their Toronto-based manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving operational excellence, safety, and team performance.
What you should expect:
Oversee daily plant operations to meet production goals and customer expectations
Streamline workflows, optimize labour and equipment usage, and reduce waste
Ensure consistent product quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective manufacturing
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to maintain peak performance
Champion safety standards and ensure full regulatory compliance
Lead, coach, and develop plant personnel—hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews
Manage budgets, inventory, and supply chain activities
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you should bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
5–10 years of experience in plant or operations management within manufacturing
Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance improvement
Strong background in production planning, cost control, and quality assurance
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations
