Interior Health is hiring a relief part time (0.90 FTE) Life Skills Workers to join our Adult Intensive Case Management Team at the Cranbrook Mental Health Substance Use unit in Cranbrook, B.C.
This relief is until February 2, 2024 or return of the incumbent.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking experienced mental health workers to provide supportive care for individuals who experience severe challenges in daily living as a result of their mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
What will you work on?
The Life Skills Worker performs a variety of duties involving clients who are placed in the Short Stay, Stabilization, Treatment and Recovery housing program. Reporting to the Team Leader (site specific), this position is a member of the multidisciplinary Mental Health and Addiction team providing and array of services within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for clients with a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder. The Life Skills Worker is expected to engage the resident and family as people with full competence and as full collaborators in service planning, delivery and evaluation.
Shift type for this position are days and shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
