We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer (Inventor). This role offers the opportunity to design and develop large-scale heavy industrial equipment/systems with a well-established manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to take designs from concept through fabrication and assembly. The organization offers a hybrid work model and a very strong total compensation package reflective of experience.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Designing heavy industrial equipment and mechanical assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
Creating detailed 3 D models, layouts, and fully dimensioned manufacturing drawings
Developing and maintaining BOMs, part numbers, and drawing revisions
Collaborating with manufacturing, machining, welding, and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
Supporting design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) initiatives
Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement efforts
Providing technical support during build, assembly, and commissioning stages
Mandatory Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or custom equipment environment
Strong working experience with Autodesk Inventor
Solid understanding of machining, fabrication, weldments, and structural components
Ability to produce clear, accurate manufacturing drawings and documentation
Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 (plus strong benefits and total compensation package)
