Reporting Structure: The incumbent reports to the National Vice President of Business Development and is a member of the national sales team. The role involves implementing engineering & environmental sales initiatives to support growth and new profitable products and segments. The incumbent will assist in creating and implementing sales procedures aligned with our growth strategy, and contribute to strategic marketing, product, and branding initiatives. A strong background in engineering risk management, insurance claims, marketing, and/or sales is essential.
Role Responsibilities:
- Service customers by communicating Pario's services and meeting their needs.
- Provide marketing materials to clients and prospects, ensuring alignment with the national sales strategy and accurate representation of our products (supported by the VP of National Business Development).
- Support corporate initiatives while managing daily business requirements.
- Track new business prospects and sales funnels using data and sales analysis to aid decision-making.
- Assist the VP Business Development with proposals, RFPs, presentations, and templates.
- Attend local and regional industry events and coordinate industry events with the sales team.
- Manage client databases, sales territory planning, and provide regular account services to defined clients.
- Identify and develop potential new clients within Ontario based on their business and engineering needs.
- Attend client meetings independently or with future Business Development Managers, representing the company professionally.
- Develop market share with existing customers.
- Meet deadlines and be available during core business hours across EST and PST time zones.
- Represent Pario professionally at industry events and internal functions, acting as a brand ambassador.
- Become a subject matter expert on Pario's products, processes, and operations, staying updated on industry news.
Role Requirements:
- Understanding of property and casualty insurance markets; knowledge of P&C Ontario market intelligence.
- Strong business acumen; risk management experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with loss control practices and systems.
- University Degree, College Degree, CRM, or CIP designation is an asset.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and relevant industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; customer-focused approach.
- Team-oriented with integrity and honesty.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the Greater Toronto Area and potentially across Ontario and nationally.
Relationships (Within the Company):
- Direct reporting to the Vice President of National Business Development.
- Support from Expert Field Staff and collaboration with Operations and Marketing departments.
Relationships (Outside the Company):
- Engagement with insurance carriers alongside the National VP.
- Collaboration with suppliers and vendors supporting risk management initiatives.
