Business Development Manager
Eastern Canada Introduction
We are currently hiring a Business Development Manager for our mining technologies client in Eastern Canada. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth in the MM industry for Digital Solutions (DS) and Automation Services (AS). This role involves identifying new business opportunities, expanding the Company’s geographical reach, developing new Automation & Digitalization capabilities, offerings and field-based services, and building and maintaining relationships with key corporate customers. Responsibilities
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the Mining & Mineral Processing industry.
Initiate, build and enhance relationships with new and existing customers and strategic partners.
Drive sales growth through effective forecasting, planning, and execution of sales strategies.
Collaborate with the Operations team to define, develop, and execute sales growth strategies and marketing campaigns to achieve organizational objectives.
Analyze market trends and customers’ needs to recommend new products and improvements.
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of our client’s automation solutions and leading-edge technology to all levels of the customer organization.
Track and maintain effective, professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the business development and sales cycle.
Represent the company at industry events and network with professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of the company.
Develop and grow the Automation and Digitalization business in Eastern Canada, with possible travel across North America.
Prepare and present technical and commercial offers to customers.
Assist with the development of marketing materials and preparation of online and print marketing campaigns.
Embody, demonstrate, and reinforce the company’s values and core behaviors. Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation, digitalization, optimization, and/or simulation, preferably in mining and mineral processing.
Experience in technical capital sales with a demonstrated track record of accomplishment, including experience in forecasting, CRM usage, account planning, and strategic planning.
Excellent presentation, relationship-building, and sales skills.
Resourceful, self-managed, self-motivated and goal-driven, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
Willingness to travel (estimated 50%) within North America; valid driver’s license and passport required.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Metallurgy, Automation, Electrical, or similar).
