Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Disaster Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Disaster Restoration Technician, you will play a critical role in restoring and repairing various structures and properties that have been damaged by fire, water, or other disasters. Your expertise and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring the successful completion of restoration projects.Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate damaged structures and properties to determine the extent of restoration requiredPerform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, cleaning, deodorizing, and rebuildingRemove and dispose of damaged materials, including furniture, fixtures, and other debrisUtilize appropriate tools and equipment to carry out restoration activities efficiently and safelyFollow industry standards, guidelines, and safety protocols during the restoration processCollaborate with a team of restoration professionals to complete projects within specified timeframesCommunicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the restoration processMaintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of damages, repairs, and expensesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standardsStay updated on the latest restoration techniques, equipment, and industry trendsQualifications: Valid driver's license and reliable transportationHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications, vocational training in a related field or restoration training (IICRC certification) is an assetProven experience as a Disaster Restoration Technician or in a similar role is beneficialKnowledge of restoration techniques for fire, water, wind and mold damageFamiliarity with hand and power tools, drying equipment, deodorization treatments and other methods used in restoration projectsAbility to interpret and follow work orders, diagrams, and instructionsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situationsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spacesEffective communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skillsSalary and Benefits: Wages will depend on experience, but starting salary will range from $17-$20 per hourWages paid bi-weekly via direct depositGroup benefits (medical and dental) availablePositive work environment with a supportive and friendly teamOpportunities for advancement within the companyCompany activities such as BBQs and staff partiesServiceMaster is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
