DXP | HSE Integrated is looking to hire a Confined Space Rescue Technician for our Fort Mc Murray station. The Confined Space Rescue Technician is expected to participate in rescue situations and critical tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Facilitate rescue in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working in confined spaces Inspect, inventory and document all equipment at the beginning of each shift Set up and test communications and alarm systems. Ensure all gas detection and breathing apparatus equipment is inspected prior to use and passes a function test. Must have the ability to set up and dismantle both breathing air systems and gas detection equipment. Ability to problem solve and utilize interpersonal skills while maintaining a level of professionalism at all times. Knowledge of the whereabouts of all safety equipment Other duties will be assigned as necessary Requirements:
Previous experience working in a Confined Rescue capacity is considered an asset Standard First Aid/CPR Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Good vision / hearing Clean drivers abstract Experience running breathing air systems Physically capable of performing the following tasks:
Working at heights and / or climbing ladders or stairs Working in small / confined spaces Lifting up to 50lbs Pushing / pulling (tools / objects) Sitting / driving Bending / kneeling / crouching Standing / walking for long periods of time Working in adverse weather environments (heat / cold) and conditions (rain / wind / snow) Potential shift lengths 10 – 12 hours, should be available to work longer if client requires longer shifts or schedule changes
