About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Manager, Integrated Business Planning and Performance to join our dynamic Corporate Strategy team in our People, Culture and Performance division.

In this role, you will work collaboratively at senior levels of the organization, supporting the Executive Management Team and other senior management in executing the organization’s strategy through corporate reporting and integrated business planning.

You will manage and guide the organization in the successful execution and improvements of the monthly and quarterly integrated business planning activities.

You will collaborate with business line directors and other business leads across the organization to ensure the data and information required at each IBP process step is available and with the appropriate level of detail to drive discussions and decisions.

You will lead the continuous improvement of the corporate IBP process to achieve higher levels of maturity.

You will support the development of the quarterly executive business review (EBR) meeting, ensuring key discussions and decisions specific to the fiscal quarter are incorporated, including strategy and operational performance, risk performance, and medium-long term planning and approvals.

You will also support the execution of strategy through the IBP process, reporting on key measures and targets as applicable.

Formula for success The Manager works closely with senior leadership across the organization to ensure the following activities are delivered with care, quality, and excellence: Drawing on your IBP subject matter expertise and thought leadership skills, you will manage the corporate IBP process cycle (product portfolio review, demand review, supply review, management business review) for all business lines in scope of the process.

Leveraging your sharp planning and influencing skills, you will partner with, and guide IBP business directors/leads and their teams to prepare for review meetings.

Ensure all IBP sub-processes and review meetings are executed to enable IBP process outcomes.

Utilizing your advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, you will support the execution of strategy through the IBP process, reporting on key measures and targets.

Using your excellent organizational skills, you will manage and communicate the schedule of IBP review meetings and ensure integration with other corporate activities (e.g.

reporting to the Board of Directors, corporate plan development, other interactions with Provinces and Territories).

You will also create and refine the EBR agenda with key business contributors, coordinate and communicate the schedule and receipt of information which will be included in the meeting package, and ensure information meets the discussion and decision-making requirements.

Utilizing your sharp facilitating skills and strong documentation skills you will act as a secretariat for any IBP review committees which require support and maintain the repository for process documentation.

Using strong integration skills, you will support the management and design of the quarterly Executive Business Review (EBR) process, meeting, and dialogue.

This includes strategy and operational performance, risk performance, and resulting financials.

Focusing on your continuous growth mindset, you will lead the continuous improvement of the IBP process in collaboration with business line directors and other business leads, maintain and execute against the IBP continuous improvement and maturity plan.

Leveraging your strong communication and presentations skills, you will provide IBP training and education sessions to individuals, teams, and senior executives.

You will perform other related duties as required.

General responsibilities include Deliver a broad range of strategy consulting services, business analysis, and business enhancement activities.

Support other projects as required including a variety of strategy management activities such as diagnosis and problem solving, verbal and written communication, data gathering and analysis, workshop design and facilitation, presenting to clients, and managing client relationships.

Desired education and skills University degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.

A master’s degree is an asset.

7+ years applicable experience (combined experience within supply chain, planning, S&OP and IBP will be preferred).

An understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies.

IBP training and/or a certification is desirable.

Demonstrated project or program management experience, a certification will be considered an asset.

Experience in process redesign, or lean manufacturing.

Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Strong negotiation and management skills.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

You must travel to Ottawa quarterly for executive business review meetings, or as required.
