Description

MTU Maintenance Canada, the North American member of MTU Maintenance, invites applications for the Manager, Engine Programs role in Delta, BC. Code: MVCE / 23236. Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time. Language of Work: English.
Location: 4300 80th Street, Delta, BC V4 K 3 N3.
Responsibilities
Foster an open, honest and fair working environment for the team internally and across locations.
Ensure all processes and requirements are clearly documented and understood by the team.
Create a positive team environment open to change and feedback.
Provide leadership, coaching, guidance and regular feedback to the team.
Build relationships within the MTU network.
Support bid management activities jointly with Engine Programs across locations.
Liaise with Engineering, Production, Material Supply Chain and other MTU locations.
Review proposals, provide negotiation support and business case inputs.
Prepare cross‑functional contract and business reviews.
Ensure engine allocation per Operation Plan and forecast.
Ensure each shop visit follows the technical, commercial and financial execution process.
Ensure optimized contract management and post‑shop visit analysis.
Optimize the financial result in accordance with MTU guidelines.
Coordinate on‑call service and AOG support.
Manage customer complaint handling and voice‑of‑customer actions.
After each shop visit, ensure learning and action items are implemented.
Ensure effective customer set‑up and communication of requirements and budgets to Operations.
Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships based on trust and reliability.
Represent the customer effectively within MTU and understand customer requirements and perspectives.
Oversee module or engine shop visits and maintain visibility over work orders to meet customer requirements and satisfaction.
Provide backup support for Customer Account Management functions.
Prepare and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and profitability goals.
Act as Deputy to the Director, Engine Programs and assume the Director’s responsibilities in absence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or university degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Master’s preferred.
3–4 years of experience in a customer support role in an aviation environment.
Advanced knowledge of aero engines and their characteristics and specifics.
Knowledge of the V2500 engine.
2+ years of people leadership experience.
Intermediate knowledge of SAP customer support functions/transactions.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
Preferable second language depending on customer requirements.
