In this position, you will assist with providing full-cycle support to projects within Field Maps and Survey123 for Arc GIS. You will help build and maintain innovative models and GIS solutions for unique environmental situations and provide GIS support for regulatory compliance reports, including data editing, data management, and cartography.
Term length: 12 months
Term start: January & May 2025
Job location: Fort Mc Murray - Albian or Horizon Site
Shift schedule: 4 x 3 Mon-Thurs / 10 HRS or 8 x 6 Thu - Thu / 10 HRS

Key Accountabilities:
Create and maintain Web maps and Web Apps ( Experience Builder)) within Arc GIS Online
Assist with providing full-cycle support to projects within Field Maps and Survey123 for Arc GIS
Help post-processing data generated through Field Maps, including working with MS Access
Manage (review, update, organize) existing and new environmental Geographic Information System (GIS) data
Provide GIS support for regulatory compliance reports, including data editing, data management, and cartography
Assist with “Ad Hoc” requests for GIS based mapping and analysis across the organization
Help build and maintain innovative models and GIS solutions for unique environmental situations
Assist with non-spatial data management for various Environmental disciplines (MS Office)
Promote environmental awareness and compliance throughout the mine site
Assist in various environmental field tasks such as equipment management, wildlife management, water sampling, and reclamation monitoring and/or soil samples
What You Bring to The Role:
Enrolled in a GIS degree, applied degree or diploma program
Solid understanding and experience of ESRI products (ESRI Arc GIS, Spatial Analyst, 3 D Analyst, Model Builder)
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
Previous field data collection experience using Arc GIS is an asset
Arc GIS Online knowledge is highly recommended
Previous FME, Python, Auto CAD experience is an asset
An understanding of remote sensing methods and data processing (Li DAR; Photogrammetry) is an asset
Must be physically capable of working outside in the field on difficult terrain and in all weather. Students should be aware that work will be 20% in field locations and 80 % in office environments
