About the Company

Our client, a well-established law firm with a strong reputation in commercial litigation, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their team.



Responsibilities
Manage a broad range of commercial litigation files from inception through resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, factums, and other court materials.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and litigation strategies.
Participate in discoveries, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
Assist with trial preparation, including evidence review, witness preparation, and trial briefs.
Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners on complex litigation matters.
Stay current on developments in commercial litigation and applicable legislation.



Requirements
5+ years of experience practicing commercial litigation.
Strong knowledge of Ontario civil procedure and court rules.
Experience handling motions, discoveries, and mediations.
Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
Effective advocacy and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
