Description
We are currently looking for a International Coordinator for our Brampton terminal. Job ID: BRA_COORD _2022 Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (must be flexible to work until 6pm) Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: To be discussed Workplace address: 300 Biscayne Crescent, Brampton, ON, L6W 4S1 Tasks/responsibilities: This position consists of monitoring the importing/exporting processes and procedures in Canada and the United States. Create and prioritize competing tasks such as customs documentation including Ace Manifests, A8A forms, contacting brokers, tracking & tracing, answering emails with brokers, bond shed and Manifest all US loads, report all south bound loads Responsible for import shipment handling and working with shippers/vendors, carriers, customs broker and warehouses in expediting orders Review and ensure the correct shipment information is being provided for Customs clearance in a timely manner Responsible for international export shipment handling under rules and regulation of Canon Export Policy and government Perform import/export reporting International, TOR Parcel Service ABF Western shipment liaison Tracking/tracing shipments. Any other duties required Business/Work relations : Communicates daily with the linehaul network to forecast any expected delays or potential extra loads. Communicate regularly with Branch Manager, focusing on Service, maximum cube of trailers and departure times. Communicate with the HR Department Occasionally communicate with clients Communicates with the Payroll Department Communicate and manage arrival times for maximum clear time’s while managing employees hours and productivity. Occasionally communicates with the GLS Logistics Systems Canada Ltd. Tracing Department Requirements/skills: Ability to initiate direct contact/build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Knowledge of AS400, ACI and ACE manifesting 3 plus years of experience in Import/Export operations Diploma or degree in Business, supply chain or related technical area CCS designation (mandatory) A strong understanding of Canadian import and export laws and regulations Excellent written/verbal communication skills 5 plus experience in the Transportation Industry Strong problem solving/negotiating and strong customer focus skills Self-Disciplined, highly motivated and driven individual Ability to understand customer needs and meet those needs in a timely fashion Strong time management and organizational skills Related industry experience would be an asset Bilingualism an asset (English & French) Understanding of pipeline management Possess either US/Canada cross border skids and/or International experience.
