HR Coordinator - Surrey DC57 Reporting to Sr. HR Business Partner you will provide HR administrative support for the DC supporting and partnering with our Operations teams. What You'll Do: Administrative Support Provide strong professional customer service and acts as frontline HR representative to assist in resolving or directing union colleague and supervisor questions or concerns. Provide administrative support for Human Resources department supporting the DC Administer and follows up on various critical union processes such as but not limited to, leave of absences, attendance support program and union job bidding process vacation bidding process, colleague referrals. Work closely with Operations for the various union processes keeping key stake holders updated on follow ups. Act as back-up for coverages as needed for union recruitment activities and actively participates in recruitment processes for non-union roles. Prepare communication and/or updates a variety of reports, including but not limited to the following: weekly headcount report and leaves data, headcount numbers, ad hoc HR general reports, weekly LOA reports, recording of union JLM meeting minutes. Prepare various colleague letters including attendance letters, medical requests, job change letters and letters of employment. Participate in sensitive colleague issues assisting Sr HRBP with grievance investigations or other HR investigations as needed Support and maintain union filing and records management in collaboration with union payroll and recruiter. Establish and maintain strong employee relationships by being involved in the planning of meeting, events, and DEI celebrations in the DC Represent the HR Department as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and DEI committees Assist HRBP/Sr. HR Business Partner with research, analysis and implementation of programs, reports, and projects. Other duties as required What You'll Need: 1-2 years' experience in an Administrative, Customer Service or Coordination is preferred; experience within HR is an asset. Desire in learning progressive Human Resources Knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards Act Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information. Solid digital literacy required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) a definite asset Experience in HRIS (Workday) an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.
