Job Description
The Hotel Manager is a key member of the Executive Committee, responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of all major divisions at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, including but not limited to Food & Beverage, Rooms, Engineering, and Security.
This role works closely with other senior leaders to ensure full compliance with Fairmont luxury standards and to guarantee an exceptional guest experience at every stage of the stay.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Hotel Manager plays a pivotal role in leading department heads, driving financial performance, and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
In the absence of the General Manager, the Hotel Manager assumes full operational leadership of the property and serves as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring continuity and business sustainability.

Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, the candidate must be able to fulfill all essential duties effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in an Executive Committee position within a large‑scale luxury hotel
Previous experience as a Director of Operations in the hospitality industry
Knowledge of the following systems preferred: Opera PMS, Silverware
Education
Degree or bachelor’s in hospitality management or a related field
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
Strong financial acumen including budgeting, revenue optimization, labor cost control, forecasting, inventory management, and expense control
Proficiency in data analysis and strategic decision‑making in competitive, fast‑paced environments
Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate high‑performing teams aligned with luxury brand standards
Exceptional guest service orientation with strong attention to detail, results‑driven mindset, and approachable leadership style
Proven experience with high‑end clientele with a constant focus on satisfaction and loyalty
Deep understanding of international luxury standards, market trends, and service innovations
Solid business management skills, sound judgment, and problem‑solving abilities under pressure
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; fluency in French is essential for team leadership and daily operations, and advanced English is required for international guests and corporate partners
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding Fairmont’s luxury standards with integrity and professionalism
Proven delegation and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a constantly evolving environment
Autonomous, proactive, and adaptable in changing operational contexts
Strong commitment to ensuring the safety and confidentiality of guest and hotel information
