This person will be responsible for managing the organization in accordance with the strategic orientations, objectives, budgets and policies adopted by the Board of Directors. She will be responsible for development, outreach and relations with members of the organization, strategic partners and the Government of Quebec. She will assume the direction and management of the human, financial and material resources of the organization. She also promotes a work environment focused on innovation and learning. Job responsibilities: Develop and implement the organization's strategic directions and manage the organization to achieve results that support the achievement of this plan and ensure its financial health. Represent the organization in Quebec, in Canada and internationally as well as with members, strategic partners and the Government of Quebec in the best interests of the organization. Ensure effective risk management, including risks related to the organization's reputation, brand and finances, and ensure compliance with policies aimed at guaranteeing the safety, security and health of people working within the organization. Ensure compliance of the organization with the code of ethics as well as legal, tax or other requirements. Maintain lasting relationships with the main private and institutional funders, while materializing new partnership opportunities. Act as a spokesperson with the public, with the media and at public events. Ensure the influence and impact of the organization's campaigns in order to influence decision-makers in terms of public policies that support volunteer action. Foster innovation and initiative within teams to keep the organization relevant, efficient and effective. Ensure continued fundraising growth to maintain financial flexibility in support of the mission. Foster an internal climate that focuses on trust, collaboration, professional development, shared leadership, learning and commitment to the mission. Ensure effective collaboration between members of the organization and key stakeholders to increase the scope, influence, efficiency and effectiveness of actions contributing to the strategic plan. Skills and qualifications : University degree in business administration, organizational management or any other relevant field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in management at a higher level in an organization of similar scope in the community or associative environment Experience in relations with public authorities and in multi-project financial management Experience working with a volunteer board of directors and reporting to it (as part of sound associative governance) Experience in managing change processes and complex relationships involving a large number of internal and external stakeholders, from various fields, cultures, contexts and sometimes with divergent interests Good ability to work with partners and value consultation in their environment Perfectly bilingual (English and French) both orally and in writing Mobilizing and inclusive leadership Political skills, ability to negotiate and influence Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills; long-term vision Spirit of initiative, innovation and creativity; sense of social entrepreneurship Ability to undertake and carry out multiple projects with a small team, to manage several files at the same time and to find creative solutions to the challenges posed to him Ability to establish lasting and constructive collaborations Professional ethics and moral sense, great sensitivity and adherence to the mission and values of volunteer action Ability to build and reinforce internal culture by demonstrating empathy and introspection, exhibiting appropriate personal qualities, adopting an appropriate communication style and acting as a role model Autonomy, a great sense of responsibility, a good capacity for analysis and synthesis To stay informed, subscribe to our newsletter
