About the Team
As part of Workday’s Prism Analytics team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing techniques for high-performance query processing in support of big data analytics in the cloud. You will work with a top-notch team to implement features for parallel and distributed data processing engines. This includes developing efficient data structures and algorithms for massively parallel in-memory analytics, advanced techniques for distributed data processing, and integration with open-source distributed systems frameworks such as Spark. You will participate in the full life-cycle of software development and directly impact all the customers.
About the Role

​Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs distributed software programs for enhancements and new products across multiple disciplines and multiple platforms. Capable of designing and implementing software able to manage the tradeoffs between data consistency, availability, partition tolerance. Develop, design and deploy software and tools in support of a data processing system, including highly concurrent transaction processing, distributed memory management, communication protocols, and efficient distributed data algorithms.

About You

We are open to hiring at either a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, and Manager level depending on experience and skills of the selected candidate

Basic Qualifications

Principal Software Engineer

7+ years of coding skills, Java and Scala

Senior Software Engineer

5+ years of coding skills, Java and Scala

5+ years of experience with database internals

Software Engineer

3+ years of of coding skills, Java and Scala

3+ years of experience with database internals

Other Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication

Solid understanding of Software Engineering Principles

SQL, distributed systems, query compilers, and query runtimes

Passion for continuously improving testability and code quality

Ability to adapt and deliver on time, working in a fast-paced agile environment

Ability to work effectively both as a team member and as a technical leader guiding other engineers

Degree in Computer Science

Finance can also be defined as the science of money management. Finance aims to price assets based on their risk level and their expected rate of return. Finance can be broken into three different sub-categories: public finance, corporate finance and personal finance.

    British Columbia (BC) is the westernmost province in Canada, located between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. With an estimated population of 5.1 million as of 2020, it is Canada's third-most populous province. The capital of British Columbia is Victoria, the fifteenth-largest metropolitan region in Canada, named for Queen Victoria, who ruled during the creation of the original colonies. The largest city is Vancouver, the third-largest metropolitan area in Canada, the largest in Western Canada, and the second-largest in the Pacific Northwest. In October 2013, British Columbia had an estimated population of 4,606,371 (about 2.5 million of whom were in Greater Vancouver). The province is currently governed by the British Columbia New Democratic Party, led by John Horgan, in a minority government with the confidence and supply of the Green Party of British Columbia. Horgan became premier as a result of a no-confidence motion on June 29, 2017. The first British settlement in the area was Fort Victoria, established in 1843, which gave rise to the City of Victoria, at first the capital of the separate Colony of Vancouver Island. First Nations, the original inhabitants of the land, have a history of at least 10,000 years in the area. Today there are few treaties, and the question of Aboriginal Title, long ignored, has become a legal and political question of frequent debate as a result of recent court actions.
