Business Management Supports the Head, Cross Business Risk, Wealth Management in the effective implementation, maintenance, and administration of first line of defense (1 LOD) programs specific to enhancing our risk management framework. Contributes to a strong risk management culture through collaboration with other first line employees, and second & third-line functions to ensure non-financial risks are identified, mitigated, monitored and reported on an ongoing basis. Responsible for overseeing the ingestion of Enterprise requirements and assess their impact on 1 LOD Wealth Management operations. This role focuses on designing and implementing processes that effectively integrate these requirements into our existing framework, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
Develop processes to capture and assess Enterprise Risk Management requirements, ensuring alignment with Wealth Management operations.
Design and implement effective processes and a framework that facilitates the integration of Enterprise requirements into Wealth Management operations leveraging existing structures.
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the implications of new requirements on current operations and identify any necessary adjustments.
Work collaboratively to operationalize new processes and ensure they are effectively embedded within the appropriate teams.
Supports the management of 1st LOD program for the business/group in compliance with appropriate principles, standards & direction from Enterprise groups. Includes developing and promoting program and ensuring the execution of all program components.
Works with assigned business/group leaders to implement 1st LOD programs and frameworks, developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the applicable regulatory and internal risk management requirements. Interprets and provides advice on the application of the requirements for the business/group.
Develops and maintains an understanding of the business/group strategies and objectives, products and services, internal and external stakeholders and business processes as well as the underlying infrastructure to identify and manage implications and risk exposures for the business/group.
Identifies, investigates, analyzes, documents & mitigates program risks, taking into account jurisdictional issues, and raises any issues or concerns to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
Represents the business/group on Governance/Risk Working Groups/Forums and provides regular updates.
Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
Builds awareness, knowledge, and skills internally and, as necessary, provides communication, practical tools and ongoing support including making presentations, to promote a culture of risk identification and management.
Recommends adjustments to the overall program, policy, or processes within the business/group in accordance with the Enterprise standards.
Facilitate and provide support to the development and delivery of training and awareness programs within the business/group to increase awareness of and compliance to risk management requirements.
Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
Acts as a strategic partner in which the program elements becomes an integrated component of the overall business/group strategies and helps drive business impact.
Prepares and briefs senior leaders on risk matters across multiple businesses/groups.
Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
Ensure timely and clear communication across all stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and address any project-related concerns.
Effectively manage project timelines and deliverables to meet established deadlines.
Efficiently manage Share Point documents.
Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert Program Management skills.
Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
Expert/In-depth analytical and problem solving skills.
Expert/In-depth Influence skills.
Expert/In-depth collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.
Able to manage ambiguity.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and experience in integrating Enterprise requirements is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills and experience in current state assessments.
Expert/In-depth data driven decision making skills.
Salary :
$84,000.00 - $156,000.00 Pay Type:
Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
