Job Title : Intermediate Application Administrator

The Intermediate Application Administrator position is responsible for 2nd level support of all assigned applications, this position will serve as a subject matter expert on content, processes, and procedures associated with enterprise applications using various programs such as SAP, IFS and OracleHCM.

Performance Expectations

Provide 2nd tier support for existing IFS, BPC SAP applications, OracleHCM & Workforce Software (EmpCenter).
Perform application administration, such as user access rights.
Assist in the planning, design, development, and deployment of enhancements to existing applications.
Liaise with vendors as needed to provide an additional level of support to the application users, and for managing modifications to the applications.
Create and maintain effective system documentation.
Work with all members of the IT team to increase the number of first call resolutions and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Work with the QA team to develop, coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for system modifications.
Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Extract data from the system and prepare reports for end-users and management.


Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Materials Management, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration.
Minimum three years of related work experience.
IFS App8 and OracleHCM support experience is an asset.
Advanced knowledge of data extraction and reporting tools such as Hyperion OLAP, Cognos Powerplay, SQL and Crystal Reports.
Strong knowledge of databases and database tools such as Oracle, SQL Server Database Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Good knowledge of network and PC operating systems; protocols, and standards.
Able to communicate on a technical and non-technical level depending on the audience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.
Able to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast paced and demanding environment.

    Guelph ( (listen); 2016 Canadian Census population 131,794) is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Known as "The Royal City", Guelph is roughly 28 km (17 mi) east of Kitchener and 100 km (62 mi) west of Downtown Toronto, at the intersection of Highway 6, Highway 7 and Wellington County Road 124. It is the seat of Wellington County, but is politically independent of it. The city is built on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.Guelph began as a settlement in the 1820s, established by Scotsman John Galt, who was in Upper Canada as the first Superintendent of the Canada Company. He based the headquarters, and his home, in the community. The area – much of which became Wellington County – had been part of the Halton Block, a Crown Reserve for the Six Nations Iroquois. Galt would later be considered as the founder of Guelph. For many years, Guelph ranked at or near the bottom of Canada's crime severity list. However, the 2017 Crime Severity Index showed a 15% increase from 2016. Guelph has been noted as having one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country throughout the Great Recession. In late 2018, the Guelph Eramosa and Puslinch entity had an unemployment rate of 2.3 per cent, which decreased to 1.9 percent by January 2019, the lowest of all Canadian cities. The national unemployment rate at the time was 5.8 percent. Much of this achievement was due to the great number of manufacturing facilities, including Linamar.
