Position Overview
Simplify VMS is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Implementation Consultant to lead customer implementations of our Vendor Management System (VMS) platform. This role requires a strong combination of technical configuration expertise, customer-facing consulting skills, and deep domain knowledge of contingent workforce and VMS ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience implementing and configuring leading VMS platforms , a solid understanding of global contingent workforce programs , and the ability to translate customer business requirements into effective Simplify VMS configurations and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration Lead end-to-end implementation projects for Simplify VMS, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery. Work hands-on within the Simplify VMS platform to configure workflows, rate cards, approval chains, notifications, user roles, and supplier portals based on customer requirements. Map business processes and requirements to Simplify VMS features, capabilities, and modules . Customize forms, templates, and dashboards as per client business needs while ensuring alignment with platform best practices.
Conduct system testing, UAT, and quality validation before deployment.
Customer Engagement & Consulting Serve as the primary technical and functional point of contact for customers during implementation. Collaborate closely with client stakeholders (HR, Procurement, IT, MSP, Finance) to gather detailed business requirements and process flows.
Provide consultative guidance to customers on best practices in contingent workforce management and VMS usage. Proactively identify process improvements and optimization opportunities within client workflows.
Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer to customer teams and internal stakeholders.
Integration Management Work with internal and customer IT teams to implement and test integrations with HRIS, ERP, and identity systems , including: Workday, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, ADP, Success Factors, UKG SSO platforms (Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity) Payroll/EOR systems Perform integration testing, data mapping, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless end-to-end connectivity.
Project Management & Delivery
Manage multiple implementations concurrently, ensuring all milestones are met within scope, budget, and schedule.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers on project status, issues, and risks.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Product, Development, QA, Customer Success).
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, configuration workbooks, and implementation playbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience 5–7 years of hands-on implementation experience with one or more leading VMS platforms (Simplify VMS, Beeline, SAP Fieldglass, Coupa Contingent Workforce, PRO Unlimited, VNDLY, etc.). Deep understanding of VMS capabilities and features , including requisition management, supplier workflows, onboarding, timesheets, invoicing, and analytics. Proven experience in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and system configuration . Solid experience with systems integrations , including HRIS, ERP, and SSO tools. Strong understanding of contingent workforce programs , MSP models, and staffing supply chains.
Technical Skills
Experience configuring workflows, rate cards, user roles, custom fields, and approval chains in a VMS.
Understanding of API-based integrations, SFTP data exchanges, and JSON/XML data formats . Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, or reporting tools for data validation and analytics. Familiarity with cloud and Saa S environments and system testing methodologies.
Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex requirements into simple business terms. Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, global environment . Collaborative team player with a proactive and consultative approach.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in or with MSP programs or staffing industry . Knowledge of contingent workforce management best practices and compliance requirements. PMP or Agile certification a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field .
