Process Development Engineer

Our client, a leader in the transportation / midstream space is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join their team. This role will drive idea generation, technology discovery and preliminary engineering for renewable energy and GHG reduction projects. As a Process Development Engineer, you will report directly to the Development Engineering Lead while collaborating closely with both the Commercial and Engineering groups. This role will also support existing infrastructure and optimization projects for their asset base.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

- Provide technical insight into the development of energy transition projects (CCUS, bio and renewable fuels development, feedstock treating and handling)
- Authenticate project value to Senior Leadership from a process / cost feasibility perspective
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction and implementation across asset base
- Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to junior team members
- Build and establish collaborative relationships within Engineering and Project groups
- Participate in HAZOPs/PHAs on new development projects and MOC's as required
- Commitment to Environment, Health & Safety

Your strengths include:

- Proven experience with energy transition and emission reduction technologies
- Registered professional with APEGA, valid and up to date (P.Eng.) is required.
- Delivery of projects from Conceptualization to detailed design
- Idea generation, creativity and collaboration
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (API, ASME)
