Casino President –with Marketing and Business Development experience for a major Casino in Western Canada
Our client, one of the largest and most prestigious integrated resort and casino operators in Canada, is seeking an accomplished President, Casino Operations to lead all aspects of casino and resort performance. This is a critical executive leadership role with full accountability for operations, marketing, and business development across a large, complex, multi-vertical gaming and hospitality enterprise.
The successful candidate will be a proven gaming industry veteran who is currently heading casino operations at a large-scale property or portfolio and brings a strong commercial mindset, with particular strength in marketing-led growth, customer strategy, and revenue optimization . This role goes well beyond traditional casino operations and requires an executive with enterprise-wide leadership capability.
Experience & Competencies
Minimum 15–20 years of progressive leadership experience in the gaming industry.
Currently serving in a senior executive role (e.g., President, EVP, or SVP) with full oversight of casino operations , including marketing and business development. Proven experience leading large, complex casino or integrated resort operations.
Experience must extend beyond table games and EGM operations to include enterprise-wide leadership and commercial strategy.
Strong marketing and customer strategy background within a gaming or hospitality environment.
Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and brand differentiation.
Deep understanding of gaming regulations, compliance, and governance in highly regulated environments.
Financially astute with strong P&L management experience.
Strategic, commercially minded, and highly analytical decision-maker.
Executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with Boards, regulators, partners, and stakeholders.
Inspirational, decisive leader with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Results-driven, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Executive Leadership & Strategy
Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the casino and integrated resort, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and Board on strategy, capital planning, and performance management.
Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement across all departments.
Casino & Resort Operations
Oversee all casino operations, including but not limited to table games, electronic gaming machines (EGMs), poker, slots, surveillance, compliance, and security.
Provide executive oversight of non-gaming resort components, which may include hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, hotel operations, and guest experience.
Ensure best-in-class operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, risk management, and responsible gaming practices.
Marketing, Brand & Customer Strategy
Lead all marketing, brand, and customer loyalty initiatives, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and ROI.
Oversee player development, database marketing, VIP programs, promotions, and customer acquisition/retention strategies.
Champion a differentiated guest experience that enhances brand equity and drives repeat visitation.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Identify and execute new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and business development initiatives.
Drive diversification of revenue streams across gaming and non-gaming assets.
Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior to inform growth strategies.
Financial Performance & Governance
Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure operational and financial targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, governance, and reporting requirements at the provincial and federal levels.
People & Organizational Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a large, multidisciplinary executive team across operations, marketing, finance, and support functions.
Build succession plans and attract top-tier leadership talent.
Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with organizational values.
Compensation
