Stronks Feedlot, a thriving feedlot in the Picture Butte area of Southern Alberta, is looking for a positive, team-oriented, and energetic General Farm Hand to join our crew. If you love working outdoors, operating farm equipment, and being part of a dynamic team, this is an exciting opportunity for you! MUST be legally eligible to work in Canada (Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen, or Open Work Permit).



This is a full-time, year-round position. Longer hours, including weekends, will be required during the growing and harvesting seasons.



What You’ll Be Doing:

Crop Season:

• Preparing fields for planting, including spring tillage

• Operating harvest equipment (silaging, combining)

• Handling grain – storage, cleaning, and transport

• Working hands-on with farm machinery (sprayers, loaders, 4 WD tractors, grain carts)

• Maintaining and preparing grain storage facilities

Off-Season:

• Assisting with feedlot bedding and general farm maintenance

• Cleaning and maintaining feedlot, dryland, and shop yards, including snow removal

• Monitoring and managing grain storage and aeration

• Performing equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operation

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience operating various farm equipment efficiently

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (email, text, writing, and verbal)

• Comfortable working at heights and following safety protocols (pivots, bins, grain legs, etc.)

• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations

• Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 preferred)
