Job Description
Our amazing nanny is leaving us after 5 years, so we're looking for a new permanent part-time nanny to come and support our family in our home based in Whitby. This will involve looking after our amazing three girls (ages 7, 7, 9) before and after school.
The hours of work are 27 hours per week Monday to Friday – 6.45am to 9.00am, and 2.45pm to 5.45pm - but there is flexibility around these hours for the right person. This role could suit someone who is studying and looking to have set Mon-Fri hours.
We consider that the Nanny will become part of our family and will work with us as a team to raise our girls. The primary responsibility of the Nanny is to create a safe, nurturing, fun and stimulating environment in which our three girls can thrive and develop.
Key responsibilities:
Assist the girls to get ready for each day, school drop-off and pick-up, and afterschool in-home and out-of-home activities.
Plan and manage mornings/afternoons to ensure consistent routine through the week and appropriate balance between chores, homework, play/rest.
Take every opportunity to teach girls to learn new skills and be independent, including how to care for themselves and contribute to the household – as appropriate to their age/development level.
