THE OPPORTUNITY We are in search of a critical addition to our team; Head of People, Purpose & Culture. This role would report to the President. PURPOSE OF ROLE This individual would have the important purpose of implementing and improving measures to enhance people’s engagement, growth, happiness, and success and as a result, enhancing the overall culture of Devron. RESPONSIBILITIES Implementing, tracking, and improving strategies to enhance the culture of this (currently) 25-person team, working from 3 different office locations. Creating and managing annual employee engagement and fulfillment survey, and implementing measures to improve. Implementing strategies to improve communication and team-work amongst the team. Managing “Ronnie” employee recognition and reward program Leading Social Committee to plan initiatives and events that bring people together to connect, enhance the feeling of being a team, improve morale, reinforce our purpose, and have fun. Managing quarterly social events that bring the team together to connect Managing quarterly Devron town-halls Working with team leads to create and maintain development plans for all employees Working with team leads to create and maintain complete job descriptions for all employees Creating standardized performance reviews that reflect Devron’s purpose and culture Supporting bi-annual performance review process Creating and maintaining the employee handbook Creating and administering trackers for the various company-wide annual objectives Sourcing and administering leadership training (DISC, 360 Reviews, etc.) Managing recruitment of new hires, liaising with recruitment agencies as required Managing onboarding and offboarding process Identifying existing, or potential future employee challenges and opportunities. Providing support to team leads to address these challenges/opportunities. Assist with special projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Empathetic, confident, and enthusiastic personality. The highest standard in interpersonal skills, with emphasis on communication Demonstrated ability to establish trust amongst people of various backgrounds Post-Secondary education in University or College in a relevant field CHRL is an asset 5+ years of experience Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask Strong emotional intelligence Attention to detail and accuracy To be successful in this role you will need to be a personable, passionate, and enthusiastic individual who relishes the chance to take ownership of this position and make it your own. There is only about 1 km (0.6 mi) of land border, made up of portages including Height of Land Portage on the Minnesota border.Ontario is sometimes conceptually divided into two regions, Northern Ontario and Southern Ontario. The great majority of Ontario's population and arable land is in the south.
