The Opportunity
Highspring is seeking a skilled Java Software Developer to support a client engagement focused on modern, cloud-native application development. This role offers the opportunity to work in an Agile environment, contribute to microservices-based architectures, and leverage AWS services to build scalable and reliable solutions.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using modern frameworks and best practices
Contribute to microservices architectures, including API development and API contract implementation
Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver iterative, high-quality software solutions
Participate across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from development through optimization
Apply a strong attention to detail to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability
What You Bring to the Table
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments
A disciplined and detail-oriented approach to software development and code optimization
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Core Skills Required
Strong proficiency in Java technologies
Solid experience with the Spring Framework
Experience designing and working with microservices architectures
Hands-on experience developing APIs and managing API contracts
Good working knowledge of Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
Strong understanding of SDLC concepts and Agile methodologies
