Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Sr AWS Dev Ops (10+ years of experience)

Location: Downtown Toronto or remore (within Canada only)

Rate: open rate

This role is:

~80–85% AWS cloud infrastructure / platform engineering

~15–20% data‑adjacent exposure

Main Deliverables
Secure, scalable AWS cloud platforms built and operated using Infrastructure as Code
Automated, compliant cloud environments with embedded security and network controls
Enterprise‑grade onboarding and enablement of AWS workloads and services

Technical Stack
AWS Services: Lambda, Dynamo DB, Redshift, SNS/SQS, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch, Systems Manager
Ia C & Automation: AWS CDK (Type Script), Cloud Formation, Terraform
Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Amazon EKS
Security & Governance: IAM (policies, roles, STS, cross‑account access), SCPs, AWS Control Tower
CI/CD: Ia C and workload pipelines (Git‑based, automated deployments)
Networking: VPC design, subnetting, routing, security groups, network controls

Requirements
10+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS cloud platforms
Strong experience in banking or financial services , preferably Capital Markets Advanced expertise in AWS core services and cloud‑native architectures
Production experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS Deep hands‑on experience with AWS CDK (Type Script) , Cloud Formation , and Terraform Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, security models, networking, and cross‑account architectures
Experience building and operating AWS Landing Zones (Control Tower)
Proven experience with AWS Systems Manager for automation and operational management
Strong observability experience using Amazon Cloud Watch
Any professional AWS Certifications

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate secure AWS cloud platforms with strong network and security controls
Drive and evolve the Infrastructure as Code strategy using CDK, Cloud Formation, and Terraform
Enable and configure AWS services within workload accounts, including SCPs and governance guardrails
Build and maintain AWS Landing Zones using Control Tower best practices
Develop automated, compliance‑by‑design solutions using cloud‑native services
Provision cloud environments, roles, and access patterns for internal consumers
Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines for Ia C and cloud workloads
Configure monitoring, logging, and observability using Amazon Cloud Watch and related services
