Mission Overview
We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Automation Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced automation solutions within distribution and logistics environments.
You will act as a key System Engineer , bridging operational needs with cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems), and machine vision systems to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys combining technical expertise, data analysis, and project leadership to transform warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Implementation
Design and deploy automated warehouse systems (AS/RS, conveyors, AGVs, robotic picking solutions)
Integrate RTLS solutions for real-time tracking of assets and inventory Lead end-to-end system architecture aligned with operational requirements
Technical Optimization & Performance
Analyze workflows and system performance to identify bottlenecks
Implement data-driven improvements to maximize throughput and efficiency
Optimize warehouse execution systems (WES), warehouse management systems (WMS), and automation tools
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Monitor and ensure high availability of automation systems (robotics, sensors, vision systems)
Diagnose and resolve system issues across hardware and software layers
Maintain system documentation and continuous improvement processes
Project Management & Delivery
Lead or contribute to automation projects from concept to deployment
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, IT, engineering)
Ensure minimal disruption to live operations during implementation
Training & Change Management
Support operational teams in adopting new technologies
Provide training and documentation for system usage and best practices
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and industry regulations
Contribute to improving workplace safety and ergonomics
Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in warehouse automation, system engineering, or industrial automation Proven experience with RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems) Strong background in machine vision systems Hands-on experience with:
WMS / WES systems
Robotics, AGVs, or automated material handling systems
Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems, sensors, and control systems
Willingness and ability to travel regularly (nationally and/or internationally) to support project deployments and client sites
Nice to Have Experience in project management (PMP or equivalent is a plus) Knowledge of programming/scripting (Python or similar) Experience with data analysis and performance optimization Background in industrial engineering, robotics, or logistics systems
