A boutique architectural practice specializing in residential, hospitality and commercial projects is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team. Led by a multidisciplinary principal in the Calgary core.*this is an in office position Responsibilities:
Overseeing the technical drawing phase, producing and coordinating high-quality construction documents in Revit, supporting contract administration and site review processes.
Ensure all drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and AHJ requirements, and develop technical solutions and responses as needed.
Direct communication with clients, contractors, and consultants, and close collaboration with senior design architects and small, cohesive project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Detailing atypical conditions, for mid-rise steel, concrete, and wood construction projects.
Independently executing construction documents and coordinating sub-consultants, while remaining hands-on with drawing production.
Mentoring junior/ intermediate staff. Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of architectural / interiors experience.
Prior hospitality, interior design and commercial experience is considered an asset.
Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in Revit is required
Team player, have excellent attention to detail and strong communications skills.
Experience of executing on construction documents without supervision is required.
Sound knowledge of local building codes and bylaws is a must. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $80,000 - $100,000, extended benefits and a flexible working environment.
