Focus of Role:

This role is a key member of the Architecture Delivery Team, working closely with the Lead Solution Architect, Solution Architects, Developers, and other team members to deliver effective technology solutions that meet specific client needs.


• Provide high quality expertise in architecting principles, approaches, and best practices to effectively design application architectures in a.Net environment.
• Leading design workshops and developing application architecture aligned with business capability domains.
• Working with developers to design microservices and API application architectures
• Work with developers to design microservices and API application architectures.
• Recommending technologies that align with solution goals and outcomes.
• Working closely with delivery teams to develop detailed designs through multiple sprints and scrums.
• Contributing to project status updates and team meetings
• Working hours are 8AM – 5PM CST, with a minimum of 6 hours overlap with remote team members. 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

• Completion of a recognized post-secondary program in Information Technology or related field, and minimum of 10 years of Application Architecture experience.
• 5+years of public cloud application and architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with microservices design using Domain Driven Design strategy and patterns. 
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Microservices and API design patterns.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
• Experience presenting complex architectures to delivery team members using multiple points of view.
• Experience working as an application architect in a large and complex enterprise environment.
• Experience developing data flow and logical data models.
• Experience with data hub design, read and write models, NoSQL datastores.
• Highly proficient in programming languages, such as SQL, JavaScript, and.NET.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs for microservice applications and integrations with third party solutions.
• Experience designing distributed applications in public cloud providers.
• Experience with AGILE SCRUM planning and product delivery.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Proficient with the following development tools and languages:
o Visual Studio
o Git
o.Net C#
o SonarCloud
o Unit testing tools such as Jest, XUnit
o Browser testing such as Seleneium, Playwright
o Load testing tools such as JMeter, Locust

Location Requirements 

This role may be performed from one of Solvera’s four offices (Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg) or remotely elsewhere in Canada.
