Job Description
The Senior Structural Engineer, reporting to the Director, Design and Engineering, will be responsible for leading Structural designs and designers ensuring accurate and timely creation/administration of technical drawings and specifications. In this role, you will work with consultants, designers and the internal team to deliver world-class building solutions. You will be an effective team member from concept to client handover and will mentor junior team members.
Your work will include:
- Accountability for successful execution of Structural building designs and value engineering through the project lifecycle
- Manage Structural consultants and accountable for their coordination
- Develop and maintain relationship with Structural consultants
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Structural Design and modular methods in the Structural discipline
- Accountable for ensuring Structural designs are checked and meet or exceed client expectations and contract requirements
- Responsible for ensuring constructability of Structural designs and the production of bill of materials
- Accountable for the maintenance and improvement of the Structural standards library
- Drive collaboration and innovation within Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design (MEP)
- Work with project teams and Project Managers to proactively support internal and external customers to ensure successful project execution
