Join the Innovation & Partnerships Division, where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy, research and disruptive innovation.

The Innovation Hubs team, under Brigit Knecht, promotes housing innovation by using innovation processes to explore issues like the future state of housing, the non-profit housing sector, and access to land for development. Our work is diverse, from diving into research, to facilitating workshops, contributing to innovation processes, and collaborating across the housing ecosystem. The role of Sr. Analyst involves consolidation of known information, analysis of knowledge gaps, design and documentation of experimental processes, convening and facilitating stakeholder discussions, and an introduction to the contracting and procurement process. 

The Sr. Analyst plays an integral part in the team effort to design and deliver the best innovations for housing supply. As such, there is opportunity to participate in designing elements of projects, to define our activities through insights and participation, and to contribute to building a culture of innovation at CMHC. 
Responsibilities:  

Lead or support scoping and design conversations, convening events, or consultations with internal and external experts to gather information and provide advice on project development or program design.
Collect, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources to identify priority gaps, trends or insights which will inform innovation project or program opportunities.
Play a critical role in design thinking activities to shape and create people-centred solutions for housing. 
Create knowledge products, presentations, project materials to support the delivery of innovation projects or programs. 
Undertakes effective research and environmental scanning in support of various projects and initiatives.
Acts as a first point of contact for internal/external stakeholders seeking guidance, information sharing and interpretation.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Social Science or Business Administration or in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience would be considered.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of relevant experience in innovation, policy, or program delivery.
Skills and expertise related to strategy, process and execution.
Project management skills and expertise.
Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills; negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of design thinking.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Some knowledge of governance and project delivery best practices.
Some process development skills.
