Provides administrative support and customer service to the Transplant department and program to facilitate quality patient care. Recieves, greets and provides directions for patients, families, visitors, physicians, ancillary personnell and vendors in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner. Preforms clerical and reception duties including answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, and triaging calls. Assists patient with scheduling tests and retrieves reports. Coordinates, retrieves and communicates patient information including diagnostic and lab results to physicians, staff, and other departments. Prepares patients for clinical including rooming patient, taking vitals signs and assisting with order requests. Prepares patient charts and maintains database for patient presentations. Assists nursing with UNOS from requirements.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Certificate of completition from a Medical Assistant program or current Colorado CNA licensure
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
One year of experience in a healthcare setting
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer skills
Previous customer service experience preferred
High School diploma or GED required within one year of hire
Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program preferred
Previous CNA and Medical Assistant experince
Medical terminology
Must be detailed oriented
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
