Who we need We are looking for a high-energy, professional, relationship-builder for the role of Sr. Account Executive, Housing Software for our Housing Finance division (HFA). The ideal candidate will own and manage the sales process from beginning to end. They will drive the sales initiative for the HFA group and work closely with the executive management team. You will be responsible for developing a pipeline and closing new business, selling HFA's enterprise solution - Financials, Single Family, & Multi-Family systems. Your focus will be on building industry relationships, acquiring new customers, and selling additional products and services into existing accounts. Our Housing Finance (HFA) division provides solutions to help the affordable housing industry modernize business systems, from financial management to affordable housing project compliance tracking and loan portfolio management. You will channel your sales, presentation and relationship-building expertise toward a client group that provides a much-needed service. You will build out your understanding of our HFA solutions to clearly articulate the value to all levels within the customer's organization, matching their needs with our offerings. As a result, you will be the primary driver of our revenue growth and customer success. Impact. This is a highly visible and influential role within the HFA group that also contributes to the larger purpose of providing affordable housing. With a return to in-person networking and conferences, you will be the face of the organization, building relationships, demonstrating value, and closing deals. Career development. You will develop your understanding of our value proposition to clearly articulate the benefits of HFA’s solutions to all levels within the customer's organization. Research. You will examine customer affordable housing and business processes and needs to match each customer’s requirements to HFA’s solutions. Qualify. You will build and manage a sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, the development of qualified leads, networking, and participating in regional and national conferences. Respond. You will draft customer proposals and negotiate client pricing requirements and concessions. Sell. You will leverage marketing slide decks and other collateral to build custom sales presentations and demonstrations specific to client needs. Strategize. In conjunction with executive management, you will design short, mid, and long-term strategic and tactical execution plans to ensure success in the vertical state housing agency market. What you bring: Experience. You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and 5+ years of success in software solution sales. You have a proven track record of building relationships, networking, and developing a market. You have mastered prospecting, developing leads, managing complex sales cycles, and closing deals with new customers. You are comfortable being the leader in driving the team’s sales growth. An organized and professional approach. You take a consultative, ROI-focused approach to your sales with patience and focus. You take the initiative and can work independently. You need little oversight and can build connections with C-level executives at your customers. You have flexible and effective communication skills which you can adapt to your audience. You can engage, enlighten, and influence decision-makers. Drive. You can quickly ramp up to present yourself as a trusted advisor.
